Classroom Management
About the author:
Let me start by introducing myself; my name is Mariela Martin and I’ve been a teacher for 18 years. My teacher experience includes teaching grades from K-8th, Bilingual Education, Dual Language Immersion (4th, 7th and 8th grades), and a couple of 5/6 combo classes. I graduated with a Multiple Subject Credential from CSU Monterey Bay in 1999, and in 2013 I received a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy.
A few months ago I had the opportunity to join Onyx Counseling and Wellness Services, and in addition to practicing as an Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, I decided to join my two passions, teaching and psychotherapy by coaching teachers who struggle in different areas of teaching. I work with new and seasoned teachers who feel stressed, overwhelmed with classroom management. The demands of a teacher are ever growing and changing, and I have the experience and tools to help many of you who are in need of help and support!
