There are seasons in life that are very unpredictable, 2020 for example! If you are finding that
the last few months, weeks, maybe even years have been full of overwhelming amounts of
change, transition and uncertainty, you are not alone. Jessica understands the uncertainty of life
can cause depression, anxiety, and unresolved traumas to arise. In every client Jessica have ever
seen, trauma has been experienced and expressed in different ways.
Jessica’s goal is to assist you with getting to the heart of the issues you are experiences, while embracing the resiliency and strength it took for you to make it this point in life. Emotional healing and relief are near and
within reach.
Many of the clients Jessica has worked with, have been touched by the Department of Social Services and/or affected by the Foster Care/Adoption system. Other clients Jessica has worked with clients have been touched by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Sessions often focused on past trauma, triggers, attachment related issues, transracial adoptions concerns, sex offences/addiction, and substance abuse. Jessica has also provided school
therapeutic services for youth and children. Jessica’s clinical experience includes working with individuals who have/are suffering from relationship conflicts, family dynamics, depression, adjustment/transitions, various types of traumas including physical/sexual/verbal abuse, anxiety, trauma related societal & racial oppression and church or religious hurt.
Jessica uses a holistic counseling approach utilizing a variety of techniques, frameworks and faith including but not limited to: Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)and other mindfulness-based treatments. She is working towards certification in Brainspotting and Emotionally Focused Therapy. As a well-rounded therapist, Jessica appreciates her ability to work with people from all walks of
life, with a variety of experiences, from adult to child, from the foster care system to the prison
system. She has the innate desire to build empathetic, genuine, therapeutic relationships with my
clients in order to create a safe space for healing and change.
